Eligible La Porte ISD employees will receive a 3 percent salary increase in the 2022-23 school year under a compensation plan approved unanimously by the Board of Trustees on Tuesday.
Karen Lawley has been selected to lead La Porte Elementary School as its new principal, and Dr. William Rhodes has been named as the new director of human resources.
Dr. Alicia Upchurch will become La Porte ISD’s executive director of elementary education, and Linda Hyde will return to Heritage Elementary School as its new principal, the district announced on June 7.
La Porte ISD’s Strength and Conditioning program has been named a Program of Excellence by the National High School Strength Coaches Association, the association announced April 11.
Incumbent Board Vice President Dee Anne Thomson and Trustee Melissa Crutcher took their oath of office on May 6 after which the Board reorganized for the coming year.
