La Porte Independent School District administrators on Feb. 24 walked across a graduation stage of sorts in celebration of completing the first ever Holdsworth Leadership Collaboration.
Dr. Kade Griffin and Linda Hyde have been named as the 2022-23 La Porte ISD Principals of the Year for secondary and elementary, respectively.
Ashburn, VA – The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) is pleased to award La Porte Independent School District the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE). ASBO International’s COE recognizes districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency.
La Porte Independent School District has received its 20th consecutive “A” rating for “Superior Achievement” under Texas’ School FIRST financial accountability rating system.
Eight La Porte High School Lady Dawg basketball players capped the 2022-23 season with All-District honors, including three players who were named to 18-5A’s First Team and one player who earned the district’s Most Valuable Player award. Ten players were additionally awarded Academic All-District honors.
The La Porte High School Chatos Dance Team racked up six awards at the Feb. 25 American Dance and Drill Team Competition at DeKaney High School, including Sweepstakes and Best Overall Team – Gold.
The La Porte Independent School District Board of Trustees at its regular meeting on Feb. 7 unanimously approved calling a school bond election for May 6, 2023.
More than 100 La Porte ISD robotics students in grades 4-8 competed against 37 teams from across Greater Houston on Jan. 28 and brought home 11 awards.
