La Porte ISD monitoring weather, will announce Thursday plans early in the morning

In keeping with regional protocol, as we did Wednesday morning, the district is scheduled to have a conference call very early on Thursday with the Harris County Office of Emergency Management, Region 4 Education Service Center, and regional and neighboring school districts.

We will make a determination about La Porte ISD’s schedule by 5 a.m. tomorrow.

No matter the district’s decision, everyone’s safety is paramount, and we encourage our La Porte ISD families to assess their own situations, exercise caution and use their best judgment in making decisions.
